No. It is never too late to learn new ways of doing things. Find a good tutor.

Good Morning Daph -- I am a primary dyslexic that reads and spells on the 4th grade level. I am 80 years old and have a great life. If you live in Denver, Co. you and I need to have coffee. I did not know what a dyslexic was till i was 70 years old and saw the life story of Charles schwab. Here is a man that did not let his weakness (Dyslexic) keep him from a happy and success life.

I did not graduate from High School but chose to join the Air force, 1951 to 1955, and swore never to go back to any school for any reason.
Things change. I was tricked into starting college. I soon knew I cound not read the books so I found my own way to learn and did get a BS degree. Later I got a MS degree and I was still reading on a 4th grade level.

I have finished a manuscrip of my life which should be published in about 4 months. it is and easy read becaused look who wrote it. Someone that still reads of a 4th grade level.

You asked in it to late for you. To late for what? To read a book. To stand up in a crowd and read out loud.
It may be to late for you to learn to read and spell but it is not to late to adjust and compensate and live a happy, sucessful and productive life with what you have.

Being a Primary Dyslextic means I Read on a 4th grade level and this will not change with age. It is permanent.
It is to late for me to read and spell but it is not to late for me to live a good and be happy life with what i have.

I have got this reading thing figured out for myself --
As God is my witness "I have never read a book in my life"
but when i get to heaven, the first thing i am going to do
is ---- Read a Book! --- God Bless --- Glenn
