Morning Christine.

Use a speech to text software to. The one I use is called natural reader you can get this as a free download the basic version.
Give this one a try it does pause at the punctuation marks.
Most people with dyslexia do not put in punctuation marks. This may be why your software is not picking them up if you have a free download it may not give you the full readability of the text like? And full stops.
