Our 10 year old grandson has finally received a medical diagnosis of Phonological Dyslexia and is getting help through his public school and a private tutor. He is also very musical and I'm wondering if we can help him by using a xylophone. His hearing is excellent and his memory great. He's also top in his fourth grade class in math. His guitar teacher tells us he hears the teacher play the song once and then our grandson can play the song even though he can't read the notes of the music because each line and staff has a letter name. Anyone ever tried using musical instruments with dyslexia children and/or adults? Thanks! Joy
