hi,

My son is dyslexic and ADD. We are just in he beginning. He has jus turned 9 and I am battling the school for them to test his dyslexia and get him the help (they are required to do so but for some reason the principal refuses). By the way I have gone and done some preliminary leg work with experts in the field who are in agreement that he REALLy needs testing. Unfortuantely I cannot afford to get this done privately or get him in a private school or pay for private tutoring so need the school support on this.

I am feeling very overwhelmed and just need fellow parents of dyslexic children to just talk to, get info from. I did just start a blg to help vent and share it is brand new but if you want to just talk

Thanks

I am dyslexic it was obvious when I was in preschool but I was not diagnosed until I was in second grade. Lucky for me I lived near a university and they did the testing for free and had a program for reading and spelling. So I spent half the day at the university and the rest of the day at school. I don’t know if this work for you but something you may not have considered.
