I was diagnosed with dyslexia in the 1st grade and have stuggled with it all my life. I've worked at the same place for 5 years and was wiyh the same man for 14 years because i felt like I could do no better because if anyone found out that I was dyslexic they would think there was something wrong with me. Now that I have thought about life and how hard I have struggled I wont to do better I thought about even tring to go to collage but I'm afarid that I can't make it and fill the same why I did in high school or having the money to provid for my girls and go to school. I was wondering if anyone knows any collage or any help that the goverment does for single dyslexic weman. Has anyone been in my shoes? Being out of school for X amount of years is a difficult transition for anyone but life is always evolving. Think about it, you have higher Ed options, so embrace it. You don't have to go to a 4 year college right away. Ask yourself this: 1) What do I want to do, overall?; 2) Where can I gain this experience?; and 3) What can I afford to complete this with 2 children? ---Go for it! By going back you're only becoming a stronger role-model for your children... Good Luck!!!

Just find the office for assistance and request whatever you need. I talk with directors of these offices all the time and they say enough people do not tap into the services they are capable of providing to help them. Suppose someone with L.D.'s just get accustomed to no one in school seeming to give a care. NOW THEY ARE THERE to help you! Just ask!

You will need and educated person to help you with homework, but if you are willing to put in the work I can offer to you, for free, a 50 hour summer class that should solve most of your writing problems due to dyslexia.
