I now use a reading program (natural reader) that reads out pdfs and websites to me so i can understand them properly. if you want to read books, then audio books are a great idea. this has helped me alot so i hope it helps you. It's good to know that there are other people out there who have similar difficulties. I have been listening to audiobooks lately and have found them very helpful - especially those of more popular variety that have an actual person reading the book rather than a computer (computer versions can be helpful too especially for academic stuff).
