My son, now 12 was diagnosed at age 6 but only recognized in our school district last year. Although he has been in Resouce classes, tutoring, etc., he is 3-4 years behind in reading and math. A great student and scout, he is struggling terribly in school. I do not feel he is receiving the education he deserves, but don't know where to turn from here. A good child, no behavior issues, that I feel is being swept under the rug and pushed through the system. I need advice, legal council and options. We are considering a Due Process Hearing. Suggestions?
