Hi

I'm a 39 year old male from the UK.I'm not dyslexic and in fact i read books constantly and own hundreds.
I've always had really bad handwriting. So bad i hate writing anything.Even Birthday cards.I used to do joined up writing back in high school'but thats been over 20 years now and i can't even remember how do do it.I just write block capitals now.But the letters or numbers are never the exact same height and the lines are never straight.
I've worked in a call centre for the last 15 years because i like the verbal communication and keyboard skills.i think thats all i can do although i am above average IQ.So i think this problems held me back and i'm really self conscious of it.

I've never really considered it was a disability(If thats the right word) and just thought i just hadn't learned neat writing in school. But i googled bad handwriting this week and found out about dysgraphia. Its interesting that lack of fine motor skills can be an issue as i've never played any musical instrument than the triangle(Joke) and i can't really seperate my fingers well.I play guitar hero with my son and he can split his fingers on all the colours and i struggle with medium. Most people can do the Spock split fingers thing from Star Trek and i can't.I also can't write for maybe more than a page or so before my hands and writs ache.So i'm picking up possible signs hinting towards Dysgraphia.

So i have some questions.

1) How can i get this checked? Do i see a GP?
2) And if i do have it is there anything i can do to help?
3) And if a apply for jobs is this a disabilty to put down on the application form?

Thanx for all replies.
