Anyone out there with memories of attending Wyland Elementry? Remember the gym teacher Mr. Scarafino(sp?). None of the kids could pronounce his name so we all just called him Mr. S. He used to smoke, a pipe I believe, in his office and it stunk up the whole school. Can you imagine such a thing happening today in an elementry school? They'd probably have him arrested. I remember the huge cardboard ear they put up in the cafeteria. It had a yellow light bulb in the middle of it and they would turn it on when it got too noisy. The light looked light a giant glob of ear wax! I also remember the lunch lady monitor and her standard line of "No more talking, just eating!" when lunch was almost over. For the life of me I can't remember her name. Anyone rememeber Miss Majors who taught 3rd grade. If so, do you remember why we called her Miss Pantyhose. (Other than b/c we were obnoxius little kids) Post your memories, would love to hear them!
