First off, I won't post my character because I don't want anyone treating them or me any different, but I will say that everyone, Federation or Alliance, could use being a touch nicer... you immediately tackle any new arrival, and frankly, piss people off. Currently my character is being universally ignored, for reasons I cannot discern, but that is rather disconfirming. I know that it takes strong characters to run a government and a war, but, frankly, it doesn't pay to be suspicious to the point of rude (and this is not directed towards anyone in particular, just noticing the fights going on, particularly on venhydra and this one with toireasa), because, honestly, any one of us can and probably does go read the other side's boards, and vice versa. There is, actually, no information that is or could be kept secret, if it is ever posted on a board. So, while being suspicious is in character, you serve to scare off new recruits and terrorize them into either becoming rude, like Toireasa (not meant offensively, but, :sigh: --this isn't coming off well, but-- snapping, I guess, and not being very nice. Face it, you weren't :) or just fading into the background. I think that is partly the reason venhydra has, what, four members? I think *everyone* needs to make an effort to include new people--and 'recruit' at the shuttle--because this game will suck with only a few people in it, and we really need to make an effort to include those people trying to join. Perhaps the respective governments could set up protocol for new recruits, instead of demanding their name and allegiance (and, now that I think about it, wouldn't a spy just lie, and tell you what you want to hear anyways?) so this is a little more fun for those of us who haven't been here from the beginning. Just a few thoughts.. definately not meant to offend anyone, just as general comments, for *all* members of *both* sides.
