Firstly.. None of you did anything wrong. I know you are upset, but mostly, your character(s) is upset.
No one has been rude to anyone else OOC. So let's not make this a player battle. The characters can argue all they like.. it is a very tense situation, and ALOT of them have very similar personalities. They are suspicious, they do not back down, and they don't exactly care about other peoples feelings. Trust me.. that has nothing to do with the players.. it is just a popular type of character to have, especially in a war. In tense situations.. people get snappy.



And understand me.. I have two different personalities in this game .. 'Raven' and 'Badhbh'. Raven will fight to the teeth, Badhbh is very fair.. I am considering your situation from an outside position.

I think this will be easier if I answer each of your problems individually (so I don't forget who said what..)

~Toireasa --- I'll admit.. I was fuming after I finished my response to your messages last night, took me a while to cool off.. But I was not mad at you (a player) at all... I just was hating your character and had not managed to get myself out of 'Raven' role yet.... You are mad. Understandable, much like I was.. in fact it is probably exactly like I was. So first.. breathe deep.. (I feel like a yoga instructor..)... seperate you, the person, from you, the character. Look at your and everyone elses posts like they are not related to you.. someone else you don't know wrote them. Good.
Okay. I, Badhbh, am unable to change players personalities, and make them behave, heck, I can hardly make Raven behave. My advice, as a fellow player, would be to settle this in character with the people you have a problem with. If other's messages are making you livid, then either ignore them entirely, so you don't get yourself worked up, or calm Toireasa down so she can settle it peacefully. I'll have to admit to you, I can't solve this particular problem for you as a Guardian. I cannot reprimand people for snapping in character. If they do it OOC, they are gone, but in character I can do nothing.

~Niamh-- Don't worry about it. The deed is done, that is the way your character is. If you want to fix it.. make up with her in character.. try to become at least a teeny bit friendly. But.. don't accuse her of not responding to posts.. that is getting OOC and should not be mentioned.

~player-- My message to you will be just like Toireasa's. I am not in control of character's personalities. If they are suspicious, they are suspicious... nothing I can do about it. You are right about the spy thing, we can and probably do read all the other boards. But unless you bring your character there and eavesdrop, your character should not act upon that information. Also, yes spies can lie.. that is a good point. My suggestion to that would be for you to consult your character's government. Tell them. They might decide to set a rule, as you suggested, on how to recieve recruits. You have good points, act on them.

~ My major suggestion for everyon who wants respect... First, deliver it yourself, you will be suprised how quickly people warm up to you. No matter if they insult you to your face, if you would prefer to keep your temper cool for a day, just ignore the insults and listen for the message that person is trying to get through.

I must apologize though, I had no idea you all felt so strongly about in character arguments... I've always kinda enjoyed them. It definately adds flavor to the game, as long as the insults don't get TOO personal . I have found that characters actually bond closer after a fight.. But OOC fights I will never, ever put up with.
I am very glad you brought this to me. It's always better to prevent future problems than deal with them in full-fury later...

So, what do you think... is this message understandable.. or too long? Questions/comments.. please..
