In reply to: aileen 's message, "Telemarketer Rant Incoming..." on 17:11:02 01/11/02 Fri

...kept saying "whoops, incoming call" let him sit for five minutes on hold, talk for about 30 seconds "whoops, incoming call" go get a drink, smoke a cig, get back on 30 seconds "whoops, etc, etc" leave him on for 15. I admired his tenacity and was wondering what he thought when I told him, "I'm sorry, you have the wrong number."

I like to tell the ones who call with credit offers that I'm really glad for the call cuz I've maxed everything else out...:)

I have to say I've never had the audacity to take a smoke break while they wait, but I've done that to a particularly long-winded friend before. She never even notices I've been gone.
