I guess I got lucky. The first game I joined was a server called 'Kyrandia' or something similar. Apparantly it was a persistant world still in the making. Pretty much all of the city/town was unfinished. Very few NPCs and almost no houses to enter. But it was up, and labelled RP. So I joined and had a pretty good time! I started out at level 1 and horribly weak since I had no gold to spend on equipment. I quickly teamed up with a monk and a Sorcerer or Wizard. Both RPed, and while there was an occasional OOC comment (2 times in the entire session), everything went well. Sometimes other players would join our party and leave later on, but the three of us stuck together. We fought some Spiders, Goblins and Zombies. Even a Battle Devourer (who kept killing us - we never did manage to defeat it) and two Ogres. In the end I was a level 2 Half-Orc Barbarian. So, I had lots of fun in the relatively short period I played on the server. Maybe I got lucky :) I believe there might be a game scheduled later on today by some Faalor folks. I'm not sure though.
