Her mom had the baby today, it was the first time she had taken her and Ashley was feeling a little emotional after the encounter with her parents. She settled out on a bench in the yard, her knee's drawn up and arms crossed over them - chin resting there as she gazed out at nothing in particular. She hated feeling like she had disappointed her parents. She knew that they had wanted so much more from her, she was supposed to go to school, to get a good job, to make something of herself....instead she had just made another person. Rarely did she have any regrets concerning her daughter, but with all this...she was quietly thoughtful.

Her brow furrowed a bit as she glanced to him, hesitation show in her gaze. "I've never left her alone for that long before...." That was part of the real problem, but the biggest issue was her own insecurity - she didn't think she could do it anymore.
