So let's compare. You make one 3000 mile trip per year (1500 each way) in your motorhome. Assuming 6mpg (towing the SUV) that's about 500 gallons. And that's without any other driving. My wife and I drive about 8000 miles a year in my car (a hybrid.) Total gas used: 200 gallons. (I actually use E50 but I won't quibble about whether that's really 'gasoline' or not.)
