I'm amazed by the number of things that have passed me by. I've never reflected on the substance of your post at all, and don't recall even knowing too many single moms. I've never known one who was married attempting to pass as single or give the impression that her husband was lacking in importance. I've known one or two who were rather foolish, but that's a different subject.

I've never paid particular attention to whose photos were on display in the homes I've visited, but I do know that in my home we have hundreds of photos, but none of my wife or myself hanging on the walls anywhere.

She wears her ring; I don't wear mine. I've tried wearing it, and taking it off when I'm working, but that doesn't work out too well; I either forget to take it off, or I forget where I put it after I take it off, so now I compromise and keep it on my nightstand at all times. It doesn't make me feel more, or less, married to wear it or not wear it. I think if my wife had more fingers, she'd wear more rings. :)

Women who want to be available, or men, will be available, rings notwithstanding.
