I don't wear my ring because it is too small for me. It bothered the wife when I first started not wearing it but she knows why and it doesn't matter to her anymore. I didn't get it resized because I use tools and rings always get bent anyway.

It seems that your larger question is about the lack of respect for men by women. I am not in that situation but I see a lot of it. It seems to be a catch 22 to me. Many men do not take the role of leader of the household these days. Many women don't want a strong leader of the household. They want someone to love and protect them but also want to share leadership. As Normal would say "What to do?" You can't have it both ways. In many households, the woman makes as much or more money than the man. Almost all middle class households have both adults working. There is a disconnect in the traditional roles. Husband and bread winner--Mother and caregiver, just exist anymore. The poor have been really screwed by welfare because if there is a man in the house, they get nothing. Without the man, the woman can increase her earnings by having more children and remaining a single Mom.

Anyone want to play the fiddle while the society burns?
