Subject: Question....

This asks a question of the posters here because I value their intelligence and wisdom. I think most (all?) have lived quite a while and have probably had to deal with most of what life can throw at us in this country and have seen others deal with what can be thrown in other countries.

If one walks into a married couple's home and in looking around, can find pictures of kids, parents, and wife, but not a picture of the husband; what would that mean?

If a wife prepares a talk for her church in which she points to God's gifts to her and she mentions her parents, her grandparents, her kids, the pastor and the church, but there is no mention of her husband; what would that mean?

Is it possible that some women have a huge need to be seen as "single moms" with all that implies in our culture? Is that now a badge of honor to the extent that it would spur her into a strange denial?

If a married man doesn't wear a wedding ring, does that mean he is available? If a married woman wears no wedding ring, does it mean she isn't married?

Anybody have any opinions on this stuff?
