I hate war. Sometimes there is no alternative to war but in this case I think that Bush is just using it as an excuse to further his own causes. He knows (and I can't understand the mentality) that as long as he is a 'wartime' president his approval ratings will be high. The teaming masses will rally behind him. Maybe the rest of the world will come to their senses and see him for the dumbass he really is. I think the Brits are already tired of it. The Arab nations will stick with him as long as they see something in it for themselves.

Exactly what is a war on terrorism? Things are already getting pretty far out. What is a terroristic threat. With all the new cops, it won't be long before we have to start building more prisons to house the bar room rowdies who happen to utter "I'm gonna whop yor ass". The US already has the largest per capita prison population on earth.

I agree with what Clinton said in his speech. If you are going to die anyway, why not go down fighting. When you got nothing, you got nothing to lose.
