to hammer into the ground a past president, who unfortunately had the morals of a hampster, than to justify the continued killing and fighting of a war based on an idea and in my opinion, not one that anyone will win. Oh there will be victories, but terrorism will never be eradicated in this world and anyone who thinks it can be, is a fool. For every extremist you knock out of power, there will be someone to take his place. And unless we suddenly become a third world country, we will be a target, either here or abroad.

Bush would have been better off to have set his sights just a little lower. Afghanistan and then leave it be for now. Didn't we show the world enough muscle for them to have taken note? Terrorist are a lot of things, but not dumb enough to believe that they can win a fight with us after Afghanistan, now or in the foreseeable future. It's time to start patching things up and preparing for what may or may not happen next.

I don't think if feasible for the US to start strong arming their way into ever third world country looking for the bad guys. Too expensive for what the outcome could be.
