They could laugh all they want - and they did for a couple mintues - at the 'kids' out partying at the beach because they couldn't get into the bars - but the truth of the matter was that they were out there too with beers and buddies, lighting up a bonfire not far from the other group. His own party was smaller than hers - just himself and a couple guys and a couple girls - yet somehow they were exponentially louder, a very rowdy gathering. The hood of his black hoodie pulled over his head - despite the lack of rain - he was standing on a log and obnoxiously directing his friends in the proper way to construct the fire, until finally they sent him on his way to find some sticks and branches that would hopefully light more easily. In his mind, they worked better as a dictatorship - with him calling all the shots - but apparently they were a democracy because somehow he had been voted into doing the dirty work. Still, his grumblings were goodnatured because he was enjoying the an artificially induced buzz - quite possibly due to something in addition to the alcohol he had already concumed - and he trudged off barefoot through the sand to try and find those sticks that they apparently needed...

She grinned at her friends antics- far from mature but she didn't care in the least- though when one of the guys pulled one of her shoes from her feet she yelped out and dropped form the bonnet, being the victim of a game of piggy in the middle with it before it was thrown away from the group. She had a good sence of humour, but those were her breand new birthday shoes that had cost her more than she cared to remember, so pulling the other one off she went out looking for it, walking bare foot in the snow as she headed in the direction of the campfire, bottle in one hand, her shoe in the other.
