• He had slept completely through the time he was supposed to meet her and didn't even remember it when he woke up since he was kind of groggy and nursing a bit of a headache. He had taken a long, steamy shower and then gotten dressed before heading out. He'd heard before that the best way to cure a hangover was to drink more so he decided to hit the strip and it didn't take him long to find a pretty busy bar and a decent looking red head to hang on his arm. He had her on the dance floor for a little while before he had her at the bar, buying her a shot of whiskey while he took a few shots of his own.   • He let out a soft breath, nodding at the girl who was talking about something that he was absolutely not interested in. He took his shot and then looked out over the dance floor, not having spotted her yet but not really looking at anything in particular so unless she was right in front of him, chances were he wouldn't notice her. If he hadn't been sleeping earlier he would have remembered their date and he would have been there for it but once he fell asleep his day was pretty much done until a few hours after he woke back up - he tended to forget everything but him waking up. A smile played over his lips as the girl in front of him nearly crawled up the front of his body - sometimes it was good being such a tall man. "I think you had enough drinks, darlin'." He stated softly into her ear when she asked him to buy her another, though his hands moved to her hips to support her in her quest to shimmy up his body.   • His jaw clenched heavily at the mark that was left on her delicate skin, his eyes narrowing on the guy at the booth, noting his hand moving and that made him have to tip his head back and take a few very deep breaths to calm himself down a bit - stupid breathing excercises that they had been taught in anger classes at boarding school. His eyes narrowed again as he cocked his head to the side and cleared his throat. "Hey, buddy, maybe you can take a little walk and let me talk to the girl, huh?" He questioned, his jaw set as he waited for a long moment for the man to move but then he didn't and Colden could feel more and more anger welling inside of him and he wasn't sure how to handle it without getting himself arrested. Not that he really cared, he was seventeen, getting arrested was no big thing except to his parents. • She frowned at that, and at the irrational way in which he was tensing up - she didn't even understand why he would be even the least bit upset. He had missed out on his opportunity for her company earlier that evening, and he never seemed to lack companions any way. It wasn't like he could be jealous because that would just be totally hypocritical, and it wasn't like he could be upset with her for not inviting him out or something - because he had basically stood her up earlier. "If you want to talk, talk, Colden." She suggested, but her fingers tightened a little around the guy's arm just to pause his wandering hand, glancing over at him as his gaze shifted to meet Cole's - finally acknowledging the other man now that he was personally being spoken to. "You heard her - talk if you wanna talk." He shrugged a little - the girl wasn't asking him to leave and didn't seem to be overly excited to be left around with the big, tough-looking kid. • His eyes narrowed at the guy, not really paying attention to his girl now at all. He definitely didn't like someone trying to order him around. "You wanna stand up and try to tell me what to do, son?" He questioned even though the man was probably a good deal older than he was, Colden's attitude made him advanced beyond his years. His jaw was set in a way that was just asking for a fight and his attitude was that of an angry junkyard dog defending his property even though he really had no claim to Joce - he just didn't like some guy treating her like one of the bar whores that he messed around with. She was definitely more than that, better than that and it angered him to see the other man - and Joce herself - degrading her to that. His fists clenched at his side as his head cocked to the side, his teeth clenched though his lips were a thin, harsh line and his hazel eyes were starting to take on a certain dangerous spark. • "Just go away, Cole..." She tried in a quietly pleading voice, completely lacking the energy to deal with this sort of thing that night. She was completely ignored and forgotten by both guys though - which seemed a little bit ironic seeing as she was apparently the reason that any sort of conflict had arisen in the first place. Her lips pursed gently as the guy she was with detached himself and moved to stand - almost a head taller than the younger guy, but lanky and lacking the same sort of bulk, just shaking his head a little. "Not worth it..." But he wasn't totally clear about what he was referring to, and what he meant, and he didn't quite move away yet - just stood there. He was definitely more than a little drunk though and so despite not being confrontational exactly, he wasn't clearly submissive either which was almost confrontational in itself. • He frowned when she took away his smugness, his eyes following her. "He was treating you like any other girl here, Jocelyn." He explained to her, frowning as he reached around her and grabbed her coat check tag and tucking it into his pocket so he could try and keep her there a bit longer. "Hey! Come on, Joce, the guy was an ass, he deserved and it wasn't like I beat him up or anything." It had been barely a hit at all really, the guy was just a baby that was all there was to it. A low breath escaped his lips as he reached forward, touching her arm. "Joce...come on..." He murmured, his brow furrowed, suddenly looking like he was hurt that she was mad at him. He had just been sticking up for her dignity in his mind, he didn't want to degrade her just another bar trick when she was so much more that that.   • He looked confused for a moment before an 'oh shit' look crossed his handsome face. "Fuck...Joce I fell asleep, I had a headache..." He shook his head, his jaw set. "I'm sorry, I slept through our date and I just...by the time I woke up it was late." He wasn't used to trying to cover up a mistake, he never really got close enough to a girl to hurt her so he was a little confused and unsure on how to the handle situation. "You should have called and woke me up." He frowned softly, honestly feeling bad for having slept through the time they were supposed to get together, he hadn't stood her up ever before but then again they rarely actually made plans to do anything, just kind of ran into each other and then ended up at his place having sex. "It's alright for older woman to use me...it's not alright for you to be used." He stated, his brow knitted and his jaw clenched as he tried to make her understand his reasoning.   • He frowned softly, handing her the coat tab but he spoke while he did that. "Don't leave like this." He spoke softly, his eyes on her. It was aggravating to him that she didn't understand that he just wanted her to be treated like she deserved, like a good girl should be treated. He just didn't know what he needed to do to make her stay with him, talk to him, let him kiss her until she stopped beng mad at him. "You shouldn't leave mad..." He frowned softly, his brow furrowed. What if he didn't see her again for awhile? Would she stay mad at him until he saw her again? He didn't understand how to handle this, what to do to make it ok again. He liked their easy going relationship or lack of it. "Can I at least walk you to the door?" He just didn't know what else to do and it showed in his expression - he was at a loss.   • He frowned a little his eyes on her as she held up her hand to get him to stay where he was. He wasn't used to being so blatantly shot down and it set his nerves on edge. His eyes stayed on her for a few more moments before he just shook his head. "Fine." He stated, turning on his heel and walking away. His brow furrowed heavily as he made his way back to the bar, ignoring the girls who tried to talk to him. Instead, he just ordered a jack and coke, double on the jack and sat there nursing it, brooding in his aggravated state. He really hadn't meant to forget their date, it wasn't like he had just blown her off and that guy who had gone dracula on her was an ass...he felt fully justified in his actions so could see no wrong in anything he did and yet she had stalked off like he was the biggest asshole in the world.
