"So cliché, Kesi. You should be ashamed." She teased gently, glad for the change in conversation topics. It had been a fun night so far and she didn't want to ruin it by thinking too hard about things - girls' nights out were meant for carelessness and good times. She murmured a thanks for the fresh round of drinks, finished off her old one, and then took a sip from the new one before responding with a slight shrug and a bit of a smile. "School's a drag, as always. Sometimes I miss the Island, but mostly it's nice being here with the family so close, you know? I was never into the beach thing as much as my parents are..." She was an accomplished surfer and swimmer and definitely loved lying out in the sun as much as most girls her age, but she didn't quite have the same passion as her mother and her aunt and uncle. Resting one elbow on the bar, she twisted a strand of her hair around on finger, thinking for a moment before making her inquiry. "How old were you when you met Jakoby?"
