She thought back for a moment, tipping her head thoughtfully. "I had just turned sixteen...he was nineteen. He thought he was such a bad ass too but like...a stuck up one. I thought he looked down at me because of just..who I was at the time...I was a bitch, seriously." She grinned lightly, shaking her head. "I think the only reason he was even with me was because I was the only girl who ever turned him down." She grinned softly, thinking back before she shook her head. "He gets protective over Colden you know because he was in the exact same boat, he went to boarding school and then was on probation and then spent a bit of time in jail for assault..." The assault charge had been from protecting her but his temper had gotten the best of him and instead of one punch he had almost killed the guy. Not many people saw that side of Jake anymore, the tempermental, violent side - he had calmed down a lot but definitely took more after his father than a lot of people gave him credit for. He was Jaden's son through and through, except he didn't have his fathers talent of sucking up. She grinned a touch, looking down at her ring before she looked back at him. "I hated school, was always teriffied to say it though because my parents worked so hard to get their educations you know, so it was a big deal to them. My dad got his GED when he was almost in his thirties, my mom barely finished highschool cuz she was pregnant with me."
