The difficulty came when he had known them for a while - he needed to be continually entertained or he easily lost interest in people and conversations. "Are you at all concerned about not hanging out with your friends?" It was her birthday after all and theoretically they were out there for her - and she had just disappeared off into the dark with some random guy.
