"Yeah, I am just going to go with the pasta." She closed up her menu, thanking the waiter for their drinks before they both put in their requests for the food they wanted. For a second, she just looked around the patio area with a quiet expression on her face before she finally settled her gaze back on him. "So...." The smile she flashed betrayed a hint of awkwardness but she pushed it aside in order to make things a bit more comfortable between them. "Tell me more about your trip?" It would at least take the focus off of her, though it might be painful to hear about the great time he'd had travelling while she had been nursing a broken heart and trying to finish school early. Still, travelling was his life, it was what he loved to do and he had every right to talk about it, to want to brag about the time he'd had. She could be mature enough to handle that. The whole last year had been all about maturing, growing up, learning to accept things instead of pushing and pushing until she got her way. Her daddy had asked her if it was worth being with someone if you had to convince them to want to be with you. He said she deserved a guy who didn't have to 'think' about being with her, a guy who knew without a doubt that she was the one for him - like he had known with her mother. She had smiled a touch and nodded at that, realizing then that her parents had set the example for her. Her parents and her Uncle Taurus and Aunt Adri, she would say, out of all of them. Blaze and Taurus were obviously at their women's beck and call but not in a pathetic way. Just in a way that said they understood their women's worth and would treat them in a way that displayed that. She wanted someone like that. She knew that Aiden had been her best friend in the world but she wanted more than a friend who she had great physical chemistry with. Her mom and dad were each others best friends but it was so much more than too and that was obvious by looking at them. They were soulmates, in her romantic opinion, they sustained one another in a way that no one else could. That was what she wanted.
