The long and short of it was that she was too scared of being left somewhere in the middle of their relationship when Adam realized he loved Portia and then she was up shit creek without a paddle, having invested all that time and emotion into something that was just going to hurt her in the end.

She knew she feared that Adam and portia would get back together- even though Elise wasn't sure there had ever been much of a together. Adam had told Elise long before he had told Kenny about the baby- but she hadn't told her that- there didn't seem much point. "You still worried about him and Portia?" she knew where she was coming form- if Logan had a child with an ex lover of his who was a stunning italian model she would be a little nervy too.
