  • Marc glanced to her as she sat down beside her, a slight smile barly touching the corner of his lips as he noticed how pretty she looked, before he mumbled tot he tender to put it on his bill. He was always the one in control. He had known what he wanted to be from age five- had known that she would be the girl he'd marry from being age fifteen, had always gotten top grades and achieved everything he wanted to achive in the timescale he had given himself to achieve it. Then she had gotten pregnant and left- and control had left him. For a while he'd thought he'd got it back- when she came back- when he got her back, when he got Jessie better, when he made a family with them... but then he lost it all again on a rollercoster he hadn;t been ready to climb aboard. And no he;d lost everything. Except her, perhaps. "How'd you know where to find me?" He asked gently, swilling the dark liquid in the bottom of the chunkey glass. • She shrugged her small shoulders, looking over at him finally. "I have spy's. They follow you and report back to me your every move." A small smile tipped her lips at that, it wasn't true, Kier just happened to spot him and got worried about him. It was strange, they weren't together, they hadn't been together when Jessie got sick again and they hadn't been together when she died but he was the only one who seemed to be able to make that heavy, suffocating ache go away for even just a little while. She almost felt guilty for bringing this pain upon him, if she had just stayed away he wouldn't even have known Jessie existed, much less be grieving her death now but she knew if she said that outloud Marc would get seriously pissed. • There had never even been a fleeting moment that he wished the same thing- despite all this pain, he at least cherished the time he had had with his daughter, it was everything to him- and it had turned him into the man he was becoming. He smirked a touch at her words and nodded a little, letting his gaze drift back to her, watching her a minutes before glancing back down "I miss you." He spoke plainly and quietly, shifting his hand on the bar and letting it gently cover hers. He wasn't expecting anything from his admission... he just had to say it, had to let her know. She had realized that he regretted sleeping with Nikki and while it still hurt like hell whenever she thought about his betrayal, she was about ninety-eight percent positive he would never do it again if she trusted him with her heart once more. He hadn't so much as looked at a girl as far as she knew, since they broke up and Kier said that he definitely hadn't been dating or anything like that. She wasn't trying to make excuses for him, in fact, she was trying hard not to do that but she also knew that he had been overwhelmed and stressed out and maybe she had pushed for to much to fast before... • "You know what I mean..." he said in reply, gazing at their entwined hands and squeezing gently, a smile touching his lips as he glanced up at her. He missed being with her, taking her out to dinner, spoiling her, waking up with her and eating breakfast with her. It wasn't even the sex. It was everything else. It was the way she folded towels and arranged them in the bathroom, it was the way she made his eggs in the morning, it was her hairbrush on his dressing table and her toothbrush next to his in the pot. • She let out a soft breath, thinking over his question for a moment before she spoke. "I am...alright." She stated softly, her eyes moving to him at the moment he looked back to his drink. "I am seeing that Psycholigst, the hospital recommend..it's hard, being there at the apartment, so many memories and stuff...but my dad's been coming over a lot so I am not all by myself and that helps a little bit." She shrugged a little, people had been really supportive since it all happened, especially for the first week and a half when she felt like her heart had shattered and she couldn't breathe ever, she had just locked herself in her room to grieve then. • He nodded in understanding. The funeral had been awful... everyone had been devistated, and seeing her tiny coffin being lowered into the ground had damn near killed him. They'd had a stone put on her grave a few weeks ago, and that had helped a little, and he seemed to pass by that way every day or so, making sure she was still save and leaving a daisy for her on the nicer days. "Is it helping? The phsyc?" He asked, "they're making me see one at work... wont let me come back till he gives me a clear bill of mental compitence or something..." He smirked a touch, bringing the glass to his nose to smell at it, before setting it down. His thumb still playing over the soft flesh of her hand idly, drawing comfort from her. He knew his mom had been round to see Ash a few times, cleared the air and appologised for her behaviour, taken her some food and such- his mom always seemed to see sence when it was too late. • "I guess...I don't know. I guess it's just good to talk to someone about it all without being afraid of making them hurt more, you know?" She didn't like talking about how much she missed her baby girl around anyone else because it just made them even more sad and she didn't like to be the cause of that. She didn't want to increase anyone elses pain just to alleviate her own, she just wasn't that kind of person. A low breath escaped her lips as she shifted a little bit closer to him, the bar was getting a bit more crowded and loud and she wanted to be able to hear him clearly if/when he spoke to her. It hurt, it was hard and she hated dealing with that all alone. "Yeah...yeah, I would like that." She stated softly, honestly, her brow furrowed a little, a smile playing on her lips gently, an actual real smile, sweet and soft and aimed at him. • He smiled a little more believably as she agreed, and nodded gently in agreement- yes- he would like it too. Being alone was never easy for anyone- but being along at a time like this was unthinkable. He spent night after night staring at the ceiling of his silent, empty apartment just waiting to fall asleep. He squeezed her hand and leaned in to her, pressing an innocent kiss firmly to her forehead. "Good... lets go..." He didn;t like all the people- he had gone there for the silent company and unspoken comradeship of all that went to a bar to nurse away their pain and troubles with or without a drink. But this was better. Ash was always better. He slipped off the stool and slipped a couple of notes onto the bar- enough to more than cover the cost of his one scotch which still sat in its glass and her barely touched diet coke.
