• She was actually spending a rare evening with her family - little as it was, her dad and her brother were all she had to call her own. It had been months since they'd all been around at the same time, but her dad had the night off work and Darius had come by the house right around dinner time so they'd all eaten together and now were just lazily sitting around chit-chatting. A smile lit her lips at the message from her boy though, and she wrote him back quickly just to let him know she was just hanging around doing nothing much... It was supposed to be his boys' night out, so she didn't want to bug him or invade his night, but she always liked hearing from him. She felt the same way he did about the whole marriage deal - they were way too young for that, even though she was completely in love with him, she couldn't imagine settling down for the married life yet. He had a feeling Wes was itching to get back to his own girl, he wasn't fond of being away from his pregnant princess for long and he wouldn't mind spending some time with Delilah either. He also knew how rare her family time really was though and he didn't want to break that up or invade on time she needed with them so he left it up to her though he would be cool either way...going out with her heading to her place to hang with her, his boy and his 'uncle'. • She didn't mind that his boys' night was winding down early - it was good for him to get out and about and be free for a bit, but she was never disappointed to hear that he wanted to see her on a night when she hadn't been expecting to see him. Lips gently pursed in thought, she took a quick survey from her family and then the fact that her dad was near to crashing and her brother was thinking about heading back to the apartment to Fiya, and it wasn't too late yet and she didn't have anything planned for the early morning combined to help her make her decision to meet him out there - for a little while at least. She let him know she'd be leaving in just a couple minutes, and then said bye to her brother and disappeared off to her room to change quickly and 'freshen up' before heading out.. • He let Wes go on to his girl, not wanting to listen to him whine anymore when it was obvious he just wanted to be with Keisha. Settling back in the booth, he lit a black and mild and took a long drink out of his glass before settling back to wait for her. His eyes wandered occasionally to the scantily clad women who walked by, gazing at him, but they never lingered. He had cheated on Lilah once and he would never do it again, it had damn near killed him that time to put her through that and he didn't think he could make it through it again. • Because it was late and a pretty quiet night, she hadn't dressed to attract as much attention that time out as she sometimes did - yet she still drew appreciate glances as she made her way through the club towards where she knew he would be at the back at a booth. Most everyone knew who she was though, and that she was spoken for, and she found no trouble from anyone - just smiled a few times to familiar faces before searching out her guy. The dark-haired, dark-eyed, dark-skinned pixie was also dressed darkly in a sheer black sweater with a plunging V neckline, skinny jeans and black boots, her hair falling in loose ringlets drawn over one shoulder. A slight smile lit her lips as she spotted him finally, and then approached to slid into the seat next to him. "Looking awfully lonely over here by yourself, Castlelanos." • "Well, I had company but I think you just scared her off." He teased softly, immediatly putting his arm around her and pulling her close so he could press his lips to her temple. "Have fun with the fam, baby doll?" He questioned softly, lifting his hand to gently push her hair back from her face before he lifted his drink to his lips with his other hand. "I was wondering why D wasn't out here with us..." Even though her brother didn't drink anymore - an acholic couldn't have 'just one drink' - he would still come out and sit around to b.s. with them every once in awhile when all the boys were getting together. • "Scared her off back to the hole she came from..." She muttered, but good-naturedly, and then winked up at him as she leaned into his side, reaching up to press her soft lips to his jaw. "Yeah, my dad doesn't get much of a chance to just sit around with both of us these days." She loved her boys though and any time that the three of them had together was well spent - even when that time was consumed by arguments or disagreements, it was all part of being a family like they were. "He's gone back to see his Safiya now... Plus I didn't want him to come anyway tonight." She had no problems admitting that sometimes she just didn't want to share him, and the hint of a smile touched her lips as a hand moved to rest comfortably on his thigh beneath the table. • He groaned teasingly, rolling his eyes. "All my boys are so whipped Lilah. An hour away from their girls and they go running home with their tails between their legs...why can't they just say no to their women like I do?" He shrugged his shoulders playfully, as if genuinely confused by the fact that his friends were quick to go home early at night just so they could crawl into bed with their girlfriends or in Wes's spot, his wife. • She laughed in amusement at that and looked up at him affectionately, opening her mouth to point out his own apparent inability to spend a whole evening woman-free. Instead of mentioning it though, she just shook her head in mock agreement, her gaze bright on him. "I don't know, baby. I guess they just don't have the same strength that you do, you know? You're a 'man's man', relying on no woman to keep you satisfied..." She trailed off as her gaze drifted away in playful thought before looking back to him a moment later, smirking still. "That's exactly what I was thinking in fact, and the reason why I drove myself out here - so I can drive myself home later... Seeing as you have no need to have me warm your bed tonight. • He rolled his eyes, leaning forward to nip at her neck. "You drove out here so that you could drive me home in case I got to tipsy to drive. Thats why you drove out here." He smirked gently, his hand shifting to run over her shoulder before he leaned forward to order another drink when the waitress stopped to check on them and after glancing to her, ordered her a diet coke also. As soon as he was done ordering, he focused his attention back on her, leaning down to brush his lips against hers softly - finally - in greeting. "I missed you today..." • "Actually I drove out here so I could get you drunk, and then drive you home to take advantage of you." She corrected him teasingly, and reached up to run her fingers affectionately over his head as he put in his requests to the waitress, and smiled a little to the other woman - a vaguely familiar face. Once his attention was back on her, her hand dropped back to his leg and squeezed tightly as she closed her eyes lightly to return his soft and brief, but sweet kiss, before finally just smiling adoringly up to him. • "Yeah... That's pretty crazy..." She couldn't hardly believe it either - she was definitely happy for them because they had a lot going for them... But she had no desire to be getting pregnant any time soon, and getting married was a little bit more conceivable but still a long way from her thoughts. She wanted to have absolutely no doubts. It just worried her - with all that she knew about the history of her family and the friends of her family and the way they had all grown up... She just never wanted to rush into something that could so totally affect the rest of her life. She smiled a touch and shook her head slowly.
