She laughed as he passed on the bottle and shrugged at Chad before allowing herself to be guided away - though she did squeeze her friend's arm as she passed by him. He was pretty used to her abandoning him for other guys and didn't take it too personally - they had an understanding that worked well for them both. As he introduced the spread of food to her, she leaned in to his side, both pleased and impressed that he was paying her such close attention - not that she wasn't used to it, but he wasn't like a lot of the other guys around there. He was definitely a step above. "Yeah, definitely perfect. I'll eat anything though." She wasn't the least bit shy as she grabbed a plate for herself and offered one to him - she ate like a horse but she worked out hard too, and she was in great shape so she didn't feel any shame. She definitely wasn't one of those girls who would always order a lettuce salad and then just pick at it through dinner. Once her plate was loaded up, she gestured over to where her and the boys' cooler was sitting in the sand off where it wasn't quite as busy - to discourage others from helping themselves. "I'm gonna go sit, grab a drink." She stated it simply in a subtle invitation - it was his party so she didn't expect his undivided attention, but he was definitely welcome to join her. She wasn't worried though, because if he declined someone else would take his place - she wouldn't sit alone for very long.

  • Hazel eyes watched her cross over to the cooler before he turned to head over to the other side of the fire to grab another beer - his fourth of the night but he was a big guy and it took a lot to get him buzzed, much less drunk. Of course, he got stopped a few times to chit chat and fill in blank spaces in the 'where has Colden been?' story so it took almost twenty minutes for him to get back to where she was but made it he did and with a full plate plus extra in case she wanted more. His eyes moved over the area where she had been, spotting her talking to chad and he headed over there to flop down in the sand, uncaring if he got his 258 dollar jeans dirty. "I brought you extra." He state, balancing his plate on his knee so she could reach it if she needed. "It's good being home and all but damn, I don't remember half these characters who seem to remember me so fondly."
