Subject: She smiled quietly when he returned and took the beer with a murmured thanks, then once he settled she scooted so she was sitting behind him - still on her log while he was on the sand. An elbow resting on her knee as she leaned forward, a hand brushed absently over the back of his neck as she stared past him at the fire still burning strong. At his words, she frowned a little herself, definitely a little perplexed and also a little bothered - partially because she didn't like the idea of Chad being upset, and also because it was upsetting him in turn. "Really? That's not like him..." She commented softly, the backs of her fingers lightly brushing the soft fuzzy hair at the base of his neck, and she nodded even though he was in front of her. "Yeah, I'm good. You?" She was feeling a bit of the lethargy too and knew she was going to sleep well that night - and kind of doubted she would make it in to class on time.

  • He smiled a little, nodding a touch. "Yeah, I am good...I probably should be being a better host, since this is a welcome home party...but I am just so damn lazy now." He stated with a grin, leaning back against her legs and closing his eyes for a moment, his arms looped around his bent knees. A yawn escaped his lips, he definitely wasn't tired but he was feeling lazy and sated and wanting to just bum around and not move or talk to anyone that he wasn't overly familiar with. His hands moved up to run over his face before he took a long drink of his beer, his eyes closing for a long moment before he tipped his head back farther so that he could see her for a moment.
