We are the only ones who feel it
Tonight we drink, tonight we dance with all the last ones who can hear it
We're calling in whispers, we're tired of waiting
We'll take what we want and leave, leave what we know behind

They had always had their differences - Colden had always shown that same sort of defiance and edge that had gotten so many of the boys of their group into trouble and Jake had always worried about him. He just didn't want to see his young cousin end up in jail or worse - he knew what going down that route was like. He just wasn't very good at showing his concern for the younger man. With a quiet sigh, he watched Cole for a second and then tugged Adam after him back towards where the group was gathering. "Colden, c'mon. We've got food. I'll get you another beer... Just keep it cool till the kids call it a night. Please." He relented easily because he was sensitive like that and hated making his cousin feel put out. He left it at that though and left Colden to make up his own mind - he didn't think the kid would go too far, and Luke was hanging around out here still too. He pointed Adam in the direction of the food - for being so small, the man ate a lot - and grabbed a beer for the both of them, and a third incase Cole decided to join them....
Now that she had stopped chasing the brat around, she had only been able to sit on the beach for so long before she started to get chilled again. So, it took a bit of persuading before she convinced Aaron that they should return to the group, but eventually she was trudging back up the sand with her hands on her little cousin's shoulders as he walked slowly in front of her - chattering on about one thing or another. She smiled brightly when she saw that their group had grown - she knew Jake pretty well, and knew of Adam but hadn't really ever spent any time with him, but it was just nice to see the added company - but was distracted by the demanding Aaron, who rambled on at her while she shimmied out of her wetsuit finally, thankfully, and pulled a hoodie on over her bikini top and jeans on over the bottoms...
