We are the only ones who feel it
Tonight we drink, tonight we dance with all the last ones who can hear it
We're calling in whispers, we're tired of waiting
We'll take what we want and leave, leave what we know behind

She watched him with her little cousin for a moment, a quiet smile lingering over her lips - a little bit surprised, but pleasantly so, to actually see him showing some interest in the little boy. She knew very little about what his character was actually like and liked being surprised every time she found out something knew. She refrained from commenting on Jake at that moment though because she didn't really think she had the right to, so she just nodded slowly - at least understanding where his frustration was coming from. "Didn't crash the party at all." She shook her head with a light laugh and once they were pretty much out of sight of the group, her hand moved to his back and slipped beneath his shirts to just rest tucked into the waistband of his jeans back there as they strolled, a smirk touching her fine lips as she recalled something. "Hey - so word on the street is that I'm too smart for you. You hear that one?" Her tone was totally teasing because she would never consider herself too smart or too good for anyone who didn't deserve it - even with his reputation he was more than good enough and smart enough for her, and the marks that marred her body from him from earlier that day served as evidence to that.
