Subject: Buried deep as you can dig inside yourself and hidden in the public eye, such a stellar monument to loneliness.

He barely even registered her talking for a moment, so lost was he in his thoughts and fighting his own personal demons. His eyes drifted over her though, the faintest hint of a smile decorating his pale lips. He didn't know what kind of good Karma he had stored up to deserve her, she put up with him even when he was in the shittiest of moods and sometimes it just flat out amazed him. His gaze drank her in, the sight of her calming his tormented, aching soul. Silently, he reached out his hand to tug on her fingers, scooting down a little and situating her next to him. His lower lip sank between his teeth as he looked out over the waves again and the silence stretched on between them for some amount of time. It could have been five minutes, it could have been twenty, time didn't really hold much meaning for him. Finally, he spoke, his voice a little gravelly. "It's like twenty degree's outside and your working at a surf shop and eating icecream." he stated flatly, just an observation. In al honesty, he loved her little quirks and the way she was so bubbly and happy the majority of the time, it scared away some of the dark clouds that tried to take over his mind.
