He murmured against them, his eyes smiling at her as he pulled back. "I'm better now..." He murmured softly, honestly. "You always seem to make things better..." He rested his forehead against her shoulders, a quiet sigh escaping his lips as he pulled her tighter against him. "Talk to me...tell me how your day was...I want to hear your voice." She soothed him, chased away his demons with a smile and the sound of her voice, he couldn't ask for more out of life then her and yet he still felt so haunted...it wasn't fair.

She smiled gently and leaned against him with a quiet sigh, her fingers soothing slowly through his hair when he dropped his head. "Good... Anything I can do..." She meant that completely - it wasn't just something that she said. She truly only wanted to make him even just a little bit happier. "Well.. We were busy today. Lots of locals back in town after the holidays - wanting to catch some of the winter waves before they tame down for summer. We have a new girl working there, and she's a total ditz, pretty useless, but Darren swears he's in love." She worked with Darren most of the time - he was tons of fun, a year or two younger than her and just like a little brother, and the biggest fan of all girls.
