"I was going to call you but I figured it was a bit late for you to be coming out...guess I was wrong." He didn't want her to think he hadn't thought to call her when he got home because he had. His tongue ran out over his lips before he tipped his beer up to take a long drink, the words coming out as soon as he set the beer down. "He's not a good guy."
