(She smiled as she looked at him, pleased to see him home again.. more than she would have thought possible she was just glad to speak to him in person. She had become so accustomed to curling up on the sofa in her pajames with the phone that it was a little strange to be talking to him for real. At his words, she looked down a little at her drink and nodded.) Yeah, I've started spending a lot more time out now that I have my license. (She said, watching him as he took a drink from his beer. She had been about to say something herself when he spoke, and her brows furrowed at the suddeness of the topic. Her eyes moved to where Brian was sitting among the other guys, laughing and working on his fourth beer of the evening. He wasn't a good guy.. but he wasn't a bad guy either. She frowned a little as she looked back at Deryk again, wondering what his sudden urge to get involved in her love life was.) It's nice to see you too, Deryk. (She said with a bit of confusion in her tone.)

He sighed, knowing he was handling this poorly but he wasn't quite sure how to handle it to be honest. His lower lip tucked between his teeth as he looked down at her for a moment before he stood up, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead. "Just gotta look out for you. He might not be a good guy but he's a cool guy, nice enough and if he makes you happy then I am happy for you." He stated softly, quietly, looking down at her for a second before he unzipped his black hoodie to reveal the tight light pink band tee-shirt he was wearing beneath, nodding towards the group. "Come on, lets go be social since thats your new thing."
