Subject: He growled again, spinning away as he raked his hand through his shaggy hair, his eyes squeezing shut. "I told you to watch her! I should have never let her outta my sight..." He sighed, running his hand down his face as he looked towards the door just in time to see his parents come in, Kate going straight to him and wrapping him in a hug, her hand going to move over his hair soothingly. He wrapped his arms around her, swallowing heavily - he just wanted his mom to make it all ok. She came back out a few minutes later, clad in a pair of shorts and a hoodie, she was going to put on the pair of jeans but her legs were all sorts of cut up and she thought that the blood would just get back on them so it was pointless. Kelci looked a little worse for wear as she let her eyes move over Nick and his parents before she sighed, dropping into the couch and raising her legs to her chest, resting her cheek on the top of her knees

  • (He had been just about to defend himself and pretty much lay the blame on Kelci when the mom saved him. With a sigh, he rubbed a hand over his face, blowing his cheeks out a little. His eyes landed on Kelci as she walked out and he arched a brow. He was about to hang around near Nick, but saw the expression in Quin's face and decided he would sidle over to the girl.. she was a bit less acidic right now. (He knew from working with Kate that someone in her position would need a shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to.. he was there to offer both, since apparently the man next to her was incapable of doing so.)
