He knelt before her, lowering his head to catch her eyeline.) Do you want to talk? (He knew from working with Kate that someone in her position would need a shoulder to cry on and someone to talk to.. he was there to offer both, since apparently the man next to her was incapable of doing so.)

Her eyes drifted over the floor before she looked back to Nick, biting her lip a little as she shrugged. "I..I don't know...I should have been watching her..." She stated softly, her voice a little shakey. She would take all the blame herself, easily, she should have been looking out for her cousin. He let out a low breath, pulling away from his mom before he looked over to where his dad was with Kelci. If there was one thing his dad would never do to his mom, that would be to ever give her a reason to feel jealous and that was a good thing.
