Subject: She sighed softly, her eyes on his even when he looked away. "You can try and block out the world, Ethan, but I am not going away." She shifted a bit on the bed, her hand still holding his. Her eyes went to the window now, unsure of what to say and her mind was working over what she had said to him. In a few minutes, she might be up for the small talk yet again but for right now she was just silent and reflective. It wasn't easy for her to be with him like this either when all she wanted to do was curl up with him and cry onto his chest with relief that he was ok. He had scared the shit out of her and she was worried sick that he was so unstable that he would drive his beloved car into a tree, plus, the guilt she felt was enough to drive anyone to tears...
In reply to: Emily 's message, "
How do I live with you?
I want to know
How can I ever, ever, survive...

  • The last thing he wanted to do was hurt her anymore, but he couldn't see any way around this, so just remained silent - only a long, quiet sigh escaping his gently pursed lips. Eyes sliding shut for a long moment, he shifted carefully to lean back into the bed more and then looked to her slowly once more. There was nothing for him to say - even though he knew that there was so much that he should say and so much that she deserved to hear him say. (NT) -- Ethan, Wed, Dec 22 2004, 12:51am PST
