Subject: Finally, the nurse let her into the room and gave some final instructions about what she could and could not touch and how long she could stay, then left her alone... His eyes slid slowly open and shifted to find his visitor, but he didn't move otherwise. Minor burns made too much painful, and he was afraid that his chest was going to crumble into pieces if his moved - that was how it felt, at least.
