Who says I should be full of American ideals? Your assumption that I should is a little scary in itself. All Forbes is saying is that men can be judged by how they treat others. What a revelation! It really doesn't make any difference whether they are rich or poor. The statement itself is full of double standard thinking, as he assumes the rich will somehow become corrupt and should be judged accordingly. If a rich man pisses on a poor man, he is ruthless. If a poor man pisses on a poor man, he is an asshole. If a poor man pisses on a rich man, he is finally getting his revenge. It is all nonsense. It is all point of view.

Yesterday my wife and I saw a huge full rainbow and the rainbow stretched from one end of our house to the other; that is, the rainbow seemed to be shining only over our house. We looked at each other and smiled. Then I said, "Well, of course, if we moved down to the neighbor's, it would be shining on their house." We laughed, then went inside, preferring to hold onto the vision that the rainbow shone only for us. But the truth of it was, it all depended upon our point of view... and it always will.
