No, not guns - but taking a self-defense course geared just for women, will go a long way in helping you to feel confident in most situations. I found that having taken such a course gave me a strong, self-confident aire that seems to ward off problems before they even start - I don't behave like a victim, and I'm constantly vigilant of my surroundings. Animals certainly aren't the only creatures that can sense your fear !
One thing holds for all however - listen to your inner voice - if it's trying to tell you something - pay attention ! Who cares if you look alittle weird yourself, by suddenly excusing yourself and leaving ?
I have to feel good about the trip to the home, the home itself, the animals and how they're cared for, and the people. If anything is out of whack - I'm outta there ! So far, so good.
Here's to lots of great customers for us all ! Stay safe.
