Each contestant must pay $495.00 sponsorship fees, tickets to watch the pageant are $15.00, photo CD is $125.oo. We competed at the St. Louis pageant this week with 186 other girls. That is roughly $93,000 to Nationals - without photos or tickets - These 186 girls were crammed in 3 small and sweltering dressing rooms - sitting on the floor, steps, hallway with not even so much as a bottle of water to drink - from 3 p.m. until approx. 8 p.m. The MC of this event is a complete jerk - rude and totally full of himself. He spoke to the girls like they were village idiots. My daughter enjoyed the pagent, however, because she met a new friend and she loves to dress up. Would I do this again. Not unless I win the lottery. It really is a "business" that is mostly about making $$$$$$.
