Hello;
Your stamps along with three others are on there and should
arrive prior to this years national. I am sending my farewell
letter to all,
as my personal life has become such that for
the sake of my marriage I will be stepping down and turning
the pageant over to a very dedicated person.Their name will
be revealed at Nationals. I started the America's Miss
Tourism Pageant three years ago in an effort to make a
difference. To teach what it meant to be involved in
your
communities and state. In wishing so strongly to be the
difference, this pageant offered scholarships we
desperately wanted to give out at crowning last year. As you
are well aware due to the amount girls backing out we sent a letter
explaining we wanted to give the scholarships but, could not do
so at that time. Now a year later we are not in any better shape.
We had more drop this year due to hurricanes, and gas prices
which scared some out of traveling. We were sure to add in the
final forms sent to each delegate attending last year
( for fear of this happening this year) that the pageant
reserved the right to add or delete prizes at any
time.
Although we will not be awarding scholarships due to the
lack of interest in this years event, there is a light
for all of you, Our America's Miss Tourism 2005
Ashley has agreed on becoming the fundraising chairperson
for you. She will head up the fundraising efforts in the
attempts to raise those funds. I for one wished I were able
to be everything each of you needed and or wanted but, due to
many circumstances was unable to available for you. This years
national has been cut back to a one day event. There will not be
time for any entertaining, it will be a straight quickly advancing
day. If you
opt to attend this years event be aware that to travel
for this one day event (the pageant cannot afford to put you up
this year) you may not get to do a lot. I wish things were different
for me and my family and I wish I had thousands of dollars to give
to each and every one of you, as I truly do think the world of
you all. You will always be mine and America's Miss Tourism's first
crowned. I hate so badly to have to give up something I truly
believe in. But, financially nor mentally can I continue. Thank you
for all you have done as an America's Miss Tourism 2005 national
titleholder. Please let us know if you will be attending so
we can have your VIP pass ready. Sincerely, Teri
