I have also notice the unjust in some pageant systems where they create titles that are not even on brochure to pull childs name out of main competition or side just awards given tokeep you from being upset. My daughter has been through this several times last year. Not all pageant are a fair system when it comes to children with ethnic backgrounds since someone got offended on what an african american, black, brown beauties, the title deos not matter you missed the point. There are some beautiful girls out there and they sometimes get shorthanded. And yes people it is not the 60's. We as black people live racism everyday in big ways or small ones. Its not about a race card being used how about check your own heart because when you cloud it and say its not there it is and you do't want to think there is a problem. I think if the sytem is this way put it in the brochure when they advertise so I can save my money since my daughter will not have a chance. For the ones that wrote there is no problem with race at pageants ask some of your black parents what they think i'm sure you will get a list of pageants NOT TO DO and it probably will be the same ones. That many parents can't be wrong.
