My daughter deos not want to stop competing. She is now old enough to understand what is really going on. My daughter gets a lot of comments on how beautiful she is even without the makeup thats why I put her in pageants because of other people telling me how beautiful she is. I tried to come up with every excuse there is because I did not want to believe that racism is still a issue. I love all people and races. There are two judges in the circuit a mother and daugther combo. That will score a dark skinned child with very low scores. and a man judge. Most moms out there who go to the glitz pageants who have a dark child of any race has had trouble out of these three judges. I don't have a problem with what color the judges are. I just want them to judge fairly. tell me if you don't want dark skinned children in your pageant at registration so I can save my entry fees. Directors, word is getting out and I think a lot of your ethnic parents will stop going to your pageants. Word is out on a few pageants already. For those who say don't play the race card that is because you have never been effected if you have you would be discusted as I am. My daughter competed in a pageant everyone in line could not understand how my daughter got an side award that was not even on the paper work that pulled her name out of getting something bigger. I spent 1000.00 that weekend. The parents in line were so made they said they would not go back to the pageant and that it was a rip off. By the way my daughter was the only one in line up dark skinned. When I got to the master score sheet the scores were crossed out. That is just one I can tell you several stories and can name the pageants and i'm sure i will get plenty of fedback from the dark skinned pageant society. Directors have your numbers went down of dark skinned young ladies competing? Ask some of the moms why. I went to one pageant with 5 black contestant, one asian, two children maybe mexican , and one girl who is not mixed just tanned dark. None of the kids won that pageant. There are some wonderful pageant systems out we have been to a lot of them. Where my daughter may not have one that day but I new it was a fair pageant.
