Interesting. I think if they really have to postpone the production they would sue him in a minute. They would lose a lot of money, they have already built sets, paid for venues and such things. Then they would surely want to have that wasted money back from Brad.

I guess Universal will never produce a movie again that has Brad in it.

What does that mean when they say Brad made movies in quick succession. He only made Burn after reading, for more movies there wouldn't have been enough time and I think Brad has a private life too ;-)

I am sorry that he won't do this film because the plot sounded very good and the cast is great. Brad and Norton again together, the fabulous Helen Mirren (didn't she win the Oscar this year for playing the Queen?) and Robin Wright-Penn is a very good actress. What kind of chemistry she would have had with Brad? We'll never know.....
When they put him down after dropping out of the Fountain I decided to not watch when the film comes out and I didn't. I trust Brad when it comes to his instinct for good movies and it seems he wasn't wrong. The Fountain was a big flop last year and turned out to be a bad movie that hardly anyone liked.
And Universal won't see a single cent from me when they release State of Play in the theatres, especially when they sue him. I certainly don't support that system. See, I am that loyal to Brad, LOL.

One thing that totally disturbs me is, when they say the studio believed Brad signed the deal, while Brad's people say they believe he didn't. Emphasis lies on BELIEVE here. I thought actors, directors and producers have to sign contracts and everyone involved has a copy of that contract. What is going on in Hollywood? It must be determined whether there are signed contracts or not. Bizarre.

Has Brad released a statement? Would be interesting what he has to say. I mean the studio blames him of course. In the end his reputation will suffer, I mean he is only one actor against a big company with thousands of people behind it.

What I still don't get is, why they change something with the script when all actors are already on board. There is the danger that the change can make the script weaker or not to everyone's taste. So they shouldn't be surprised that the result is to lose actors.

Seems they are in danger now to lose Helen Mirren who will shoot a film with her husband early next year. Somehow I would wish that they can't convince Crowe to make the movie now. Maybe they would learn something from it and it would be a lesson for them to deal with such things differently. Even if that means that Brad will get sued. And I have bad feelings these days, so I see it coming.
