Who are you talking about, John Edwards? I assume that's the only person it could be, i haven't heard of Joe Biden have a skank on the side LOL But yeah, i totally agree with you, i think he is a disgrace and way worse than Sarah Palin. Thing is, he never was in the running to be a VP and would never be on the VP ticket from the Democratic party. He's going to have an ok career in politics even without it, no doubt, this kind of stuff in politics really does get forgotten about...But again, i don't think he will ever be able to rise high enough to be on a VP ticket after this one, mark my words. Hence, i dont really see how he can be compared with Palin at all in this case, it's like apples and oranges, Obama didn't nominate Edwards to be with him on the campaign trail, while McCain did nominate Palin and she was ill-prepared for it. Who knows, with a more capable person by his side, he could've actually manage to win the election, even against someone as popular as Obama... i guess at this point we'll never know...
I dont like what Palin has to say because she doesn't have the eloquence and the wit to say it, Gina, not because i dont agree with it. I've heard plenty of Republican points of view that i may not agree with but that i can respect because of the manner in which it was presented. Palin, on the other hand, can't help but sound like a complete dimwit when she presents herself. Only she would come out with a "pitbull in lipstick" quote and call that witty, the only reason it was repeated so much is because it was so laughable. She doesn't realize that to appeal to the "common folk", she doesn't have to use big words to sound intelligent but she also doesn't have to go to the other extreme either, there's a fine line there and being a politician, one would think she should know that. I know they have people to write a lot of these things for them so maybe her mistake was picking the wrong people? I dont know, but all i know is that it started off being exciting and refreshing to see if there's a chance to have a first female VP in this country, i was all for it and was behind her, even if it's a Republican i didnt care, i was upset when Hilary Clinton wasn't going to be on the ticket and was actually looking forward to seeing a strong female candidate, regardless of my political views. But by the end of that campaign, she annoyed me to the point that i couldn't even stomach her anymore. Maybe if she were a more interesting and intelligent person, i would've given her a chance but she just presented herself like a total simpleton and gave women politicians a bad name. I mean, that whole "seeing Russia from her house" quote when she was asked to give an example of her experience in foreign relations? Really, now, come on. I rest my case.
Thanks for the tips about the updo, buddy. I am not sure if my hair is long enough for what you describe though, i might need to grow it out a bit, it's like half an inch past my shoulders now. It also has slight layers to it so every time i try to put it up, pieces of it won't stay. But i will give it a shot the way you described it and see how it looks :)
