 Brad Pitt to produce Vlad

December 07, 2009, (Splash News) - Even Brad Pitt is getting a stake in the blood-sucking craze as the latest vampire film project is announced.

On the back of teenage drama hit Twilight and TV shows such as True Blood and the Vampire Diaries, Pitt is taking it back to the most famous of the fanged: Dracula.

The actor, through his Plan B company, is producing Vlad, an action-oriented take on the classic character.

It centres on the story of Dracula as a young prince, known in the myth as Vlad the Impaler.

The film is set to be directed by Anthony Mandler, a music video helmsman who has worked with the likes of Rihanna, the Killers and Eminem.

This sounds intense. You know I love the vampire movies although I never really got into Twilight. I will see it when it is on the movie channels. Rachel went to see it at midnight when it came out. I thought she was crazy, I would of fallen asleep at that showing.

Do you remember the tv series called Dark Shadows? I watched that when I was little Barnabus was the vampire. I have always felt George could play that part. It will be interesting to see who they will cast for this part as the young prince. Any guesses who will fit the part?
